Mr. Whipp,
After watching both of the videos given and doing some of my own research I have come to the conclusion that the Power Balance might actually work. I am obviously not a professional on the matter but I do believe that they possess some potential good qualities. The overall idea that a small band with two tiny holograms on them could possess such amazing powers is just strange to most people including me. It seems downright silly that anyone would possibly believe that a hologram coming in contact with the body could result in such a miraculous difference in strength, balance, and flexibility. I think that this idea is very silly but it does seem that with the tests they do it could very well be possible.
My official hypothesis is that the brain is controlling the body’s effectiveness in this experiment. I would test this by placing monitors on the brain while the test are being conducted to see if anything new or unusual occurs.
It is very necessary to look at all sides of the argument before making a hypothesis because if you only look at one side naturally you would side with that view without even giving other views a chance. When you look at both sides of the argument before making a hypothesis you have a clear view of what other people think and why they think it. This can help you create a well-rounded experiment that may prove points that weren’t proven before.
